1. Introduction

Anthem Talent (Pty) Ltd, trading as Anthem Creative Agency ("Anthem", "we", "us", or "our"), is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect the personal information of people who interact with anthemcreativeagency.com — including talent applicants, enrolled course students, and anyone who contacts us or browses the roster.

This policy is governed by the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), South Africa's primary data protection legislation. By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

Who is responsible for your data?
Anthem Talent (Pty) Ltd is the Responsible Party as defined in POPIA. Our designated Information Officer is Ian Hadfield, who can be reached at privacy@anthemcreativeagency.com.

2. What Information We Collect

What we collect depends on how you interact with the site:

If you apply to join the roster

This is a lightweight screening form — submitting it does not create a representation agreement. If we invite you to an agency meeting and proceed to signing, we collect a much fuller profile together with you at that stage (including sensitive information such as ID/passport numbers and banking details, handled separately and restricted to Ian's access only).

If you enrol in Becoming an Actor

If you contact us

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information only for the following purposes:

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects without human review, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under POPIA, we process your personal information on the following grounds:

5. Who We Share Your Information With

We only share your information with third parties where necessary to deliver our services, and never for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

Casting Clients and Production Companies

Once you're a signed member of the roster, we share profile information (name, headshots, showreel, relevant skills) with casting directors and production companies for the purpose of submitting you for opportunities.

Legal Disclosure

We may disclose personal information where required to do so by law, court order, or government authority.

6. Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your personal information is stored and processed by service providers in the United States (Airtable and Netlify). Under POPIA Section 72, we may only transfer personal information across borders where the recipient country provides an adequate level of protection, or where appropriate safeguards are in place. Both Airtable and Netlify operate under Data Processing Agreements including Standard Contractual Clauses. By using this site, you consent to this transfer on that basis.
